joy in the journey
Well, back again from vacation. The grass was 2 feet tall when I got home--oh darn, I have to garden:) We had a great weekend in Jasper--back to the mountains is always good for me. I always cry when I leave, embarrassing as that is. The best part was going white water rafting. It was AWESOME!! Yes, I'm a thrill junkie--minorly anyways. We were there for Seans work--a management retreat--and they set up the first one. Class 2 rapids. It was a riot, but a few of us wanted more, so the next day we headed out to class 3 rapids. Whoo hoo!! I'd go again in a second!
Now that I"m home...:(....I, too, am in the Quantum leap program that Ms Donahue mentioned in her blog and I had my first coaching call too. Interestingly, one of the things she wants me to do, is to garden everyday for joy, but to also not do anything on my UBBT list unless I WANT to. (Picture hamster running in circles going ' but how will I get it all done????AHHHH!!!!) Why did she ask this? Well, I get really hung up on achieving, not the journey, and I get all stressed out and bring real negative energy to everything then. Ok, so point taken. Fortuneatly I do my pushups and situps already without stress, so they are ok....but I think thats been at the base of my issues lately. I havent been enjoying the journey, I stress about my kungfu--it has not been serving me, I've been serving it for no end I wanted. So. Now to find the joy, to learn to enjoy my requirements again so I can do them with joy. One step at a time.
