the present moment

Today has been an odd day for me—I had a ‘slow down’day, I guess you could say. I kicked Sean and his daughter off for a movie and had time to myself. It was kinda weird. I knew I needed time to work on my journal, take a look at where I am on my requirements….check my email….(I avoid it. I hate seeing a million messages). I usually am go-go-go, but summer always brings the chance to slow down and reflect on the year; what worked, what didn’t, what do I want this year to be like. Kinda like new years, just new school year. I read, I dreamed, I journalled, I meditated. I know, hard to believe. I think I have an inkling of a thought on my goals this year. But the real gem today was to relax, slow down and just be. I think I need more of that this year.

  1. The only real thing we have is right now. Yesterday is history, we can only learn from it. Tomorrow is in the future, but today is what we truly have and should be cherished. And yes you did. :)
