It is nights like last night that will greatly be missed after the year of the dragon is over. Last nights demo practice was a lot of work, but it was a lot of fun too. I have said it before, and I will say it again, the best times for me this past year have been when members of the team all get together to train or practice for demos. Last night was no exception. I feel a large group of us have made tight bonds, and our friendships, and the support we share, have definitely grown. This is bound to happen when you have a group of people all striving to go in the same direction - in life, or in their kung fu training. Members of the team have all pulled together and there is no doubt we are there for each other.
Everyone has been a great help in my training with the rope dart. Last night everyone gave input into ideas to make my rope dart choreography more real, and a little bit humorous as well. I can't give anything away here, but if I can pull it off as it should be and as we have now choreographed it, it should be quite a show. A short 90 second show, but a show none the less. I can't possibly be any more grateful than I am right now, for all this help of the team. The help has come mostly from those involved in my choreography, but also from other team members on the sidelines. The support has been absolutely amazing! I am not too creative with this sort of thing, so the input from others, has been invaluable to me.
As tired as I was last night when I left the kwoon after 6 hours of training, teaching, and then training again, I was anxious to get back and work with the team again. They are all an awesome bunch, and they are what have made this year FANTASTIC!!
