So, so far this year, I feel good. Definitely need to work on my Acts of Kindness, but I feel like my attitude is positive so far.
I have one more class of my Anger Management bootcamp. It has been good and I have learned lots, but there is no magic answer. Just like Kung Fu, change requires hard work and of course you only get out as much as you put in.
Basically the course has taught me strategies for thinking better - true thinking without the distorted thoughts that come with your emotions. I am definitely feeling more in control. The hardest part of this process has been facing my fears and letting the fear pass through you... it is easy to push down the fear and bury it under other emotions so you don't have to feel it but then it just gets stuck in you with a bunch of other emotions piled on it and you feel like a volcano ready to go. It is scary to examine your fear, and it has left me feeling a bit panicky of late, but it feels so much better when I can let it go. Then I do have a moment of peace. But it will take much self training to extend these moment to cover a lifetime.
