Moose and Horse stance?

This past week I was able to teach my sons an important skill that a few Canadians need to know.  How to scare off moose that are hanging around the hay shed.  I have had three moose hanging out at my hay shed for the last three weeks.  Moose can be aggressive animals especially if they have calf's or in the rut.  I told my boys to make sure they have an escape plan to get away from the moose incase the moose decide to charge.   To get the moose to leave you have to  make a lot of noise until the moose get so annoyed at you that they decide to leave.  So imagine me and my boys whistling shouting and waving our hands.  Definitely a picture type of moment. (but didn't get one)

I am feeling frustrated the more forms I do of Long, I realize that my horse stance is just not where it needs to be.  I am going to focus on just practicing my horse stance separately from my form to see if I can correct my stance.  I still cant figure out if it is my positioning of if I just don't have the flexibility  I concentrate on having my feet straight and my knees over my feet but I can seem to maintain the stance.  (any thoughts would be appreciated)

  1. Lion Dance, Lion Dance and more Lion Dance helped me open up the hips and lower back. Qi Gong (Chi Kung) keeps the hips open and flexible. Tai Chi keeps everything aligned and is a great warm up for fitness class as well.
