So tonight we had a little preliminary meeting. The moral of the story is that we need to be honest with ourselves about what we are actually doing. We need to keep on the core requirements and if you aren't logging them, you aren't doing them. Journalling was mentioned of course, as was dragon/lion dance. We are in the hard-core crunch time for Canada day and it seems that the closer we get, the harder it is to wrangle people. We just need to push hard for 2 weeks and then we can breath again.
I know it's hard to come to the practices and I know it seems like we've been practicing forever, but suck it up! We've all known about this demo for half a year now, quit making excuses and come to practices! If you don't, we might not have enough people and we'll have to cancel the dragon dance.
I just find it really frustrating. I know that people wanna spend time with their families and such and it is a big commitment, but we have to find a way to get it done.
I know I'm ranting a bit here, but again, I'm just a little frustrated with the turnout. How the heck are we going to pull off 2 dragons for chinese new year?
After Canada day, we can relax a bit again.
Acts of kindness: made my husband lunch, bought him a father's day gift and gave my cat extra luvins
Today I consumed: a bran muffin, an apple, 2 pastries, 2 brownies and a piece of fudge (a lot of sweets today I know) and some chicken pasta and a bowl of soup. I drank 4 cups of tea and 5 glasses of water.
Thanks Sifu Robinson for the fudge!
