So lately, there has been a lot of frustration regarding the demo. I know that the going has been tough. I myself have been frustrated. Many people in the I Ho Chuan don't have very much experience doing demos, if any at all. Some of us have a lot of experience. Canada Day will help bridge that experience gap a little bit.
Getting involved in a big scale demo can be very intimidating and overwhelming. It takes a lot of time, effort and sometimes you feel like it is consuming your life.
If you find yourself feeling frustrated and disheartened, I encourage you to do something positive about it. By changing your attitude towards something, you influence those around you to do the same. This demo isn't a hoop for us to jump through, it is an opportunity for us to come together as a team and grow. We need to pull together and support each other. I know it's a stressful time....but to be honest I've never been involved in a demo that wasn't a little bit stressful. But if we all work hard, the demo will be a success and something we can all learn from. This is an opportunity for us to grow and I hope everyone sees that.
Basic numbers: pushups: 204; crunches: 202; kicks: 208; tai chi reps: 4; broadsword reps: 6
Acts of kindness: let 2 people in front of me in traffic, let a guy turn ahead of me at the 4way stop, gave my dog a treat and bought Julia a kinder surprise as a treat.
Today I consumed: a bagel with peanut butter, a roast beef sandwich with cheese, an apple, 2 mini cookies, a doughnut, a yogurt cup and some pasta with shrimp and veg. I drank 2 cups of tea, a cup of coffee and 8 glasses of water.
