San Sou awesomeness!
So I went to San Sou tonight. It was great! We did so many different drills and some sparring too. I didn't feel intimidated at all! It's funny how you can build up a fear of something in you mind and then you actually go and check it out and it's completely different.
I think a big part of my fear was being able to keep up physically. I'm getting my body back to health, but I always worry that something will happen to set me back. When I first came back and we sparred in the black belt class, I got so sick afterwards. I didn't know it at the time, but I had a really bad internal infection and pushing it in sparring really weakened my system. Since then I've been so nervous. But tonight I pushed it hard and I'm ok.
I think as time goes on I'll be less and less worried about health stuff. Already I'm not as scared of getting sick again. I think it just takes time.
Stupid being sick!
Stupid being scared of being sick!
But ya, San Sou was super fun...you were right Sifu Lindstrum!
Acts of kindness: Gave my cat extra pets, put the bar on the conveyer for the lady at the grocery, helped unload gear from the trailer, made dinner.
Today I consumed: half a bagel with cream cheese, a bowl of macaroni, some bread with hummas, 3 tacos with all the fixin's, 4 mini chocolate chip cookies and a yogurt cup. I drank a cup of coffee, 3 cups of tea and 7 glasses of water.
