This past Saturday I went to Silent River Kung Fu's annual Chinese New Years Banquet.  I brought my wife to give her a sense of what I am  doing in my Kung Fu classes.  I found the night to be a very intense experience as I watched the demonstrations and seeing the promotions that were given out that night.  I thought of the amount of work and dedication it took for these levels to be reached by people that I see and train with daily in the kwoon.  After the event I talked with my wife more about the commitment I made to be part of the I Ho Chuan year of the Horse team and let her know about each of the goals I committed too.  She gave me her commitment to do what she can to help me along this path.
Watching the events of the night it confirmed my decision to be a part of the I Ho Chuan year of the Horse team.  I am a believer in disciple and what it can do to help a person reach their potential.  As a coach I talk about this all the time to my athletes.  Now it is my turn to have the same discipline to make me reach goals that I have agreed to work towards.  I know that it will be a lot of work, but hard work has never worried me.  I am looking forward to the process that I will be going through in the upcoming year.
